The Sanskrit word Chakra literally means "disc" or "wheel". The Chakras are wheels of energy which correspond with large nerve bundles within the body from the base of spine all the way to the top of the head. Each Chakra relates to different organs as well as psychological and emotional states of being. This energy is ever-moving, the goal is to keep these Chakra centers "open" or aligned. When we cultivate an awareness of our Chakras, we begin to recognize when we are imbalanced in one or more areas and we can respond

Each week, chakra by chakra, we will dive deeper into an Awareness & understanding of our subtle body. Sessions will include Asana (Postures), Pranayama (Breath), Guided Meditation, Sound Healing and Mantra. We will be guided to complete weekly journaling excercises and at-home practices to nurture our own healing. Private Facebook Page for all participants so we can share our experiences and connect as a community. We will confer with Ayuvedic principles to explore ways that our daily habits and food can open. This journey explores a deeper dimension of your yoga practice to guide you toward your highest potential, toward your strongest, truest self and empowers you to a deeper connection with those around you.
